Reaction: This story has an amazing transition between the first two paragraphs. it starts out as first person, then it quickly turns into third person; an autobiography to biography; it switches back and forth Piscine Patel was named after a pool, information he gives to us out of many significant and symbolic facts. Many of these things that Pi and the narrator tell us are vital to what we need to know further into the text.
